About Denise
Denise has been working in the business world for approximately 30 years and has experience in everything from bookkeeping and management to website design and ebook publishing. She started working at the age of 12 sweeping floors at a old-fashioned neighborhood ice cream parlor and by the time she reached 18 she was not only involved in the everyday decision making for the business, but was performing duties such as inventory management and ordering. She went on to complete three years of college and then decided to pursue a career as a legal assistant and earned a paralegal certificate. Over the next 8 years she worked as a paralegal for two large firms and as a paralegal/office manager for another before leaving the legal world to have a family.
Denise went back to work after 2 years and has been working ever since. She worked as an administrative assistant for the next ten years and starting taking on small jobs on the side doing print menus for restaurants. She became very proficient in desktop publishing and started freelancing continuing to do menus, flyers, brochures and newsletters for businesses. Eventually she took her creative abilities to the internet and taught herself website design and maintenance.
In 2006 Denise left her administrative assistant position to pursue a career as a virtual assistant. In 2007 she started her own company, On Target Assistance, providing administrative support “virtually” to entrepreneurs and small business owners.
