Tip Five – Publishing a Winning Newsletter: Get Listed
This will be my last post in the series Publishing a Winning Newsletter. In my last four posts, I covered email services, formatting, links & images, content, and in this post I will cover listing services.
Get Listed
Now that you have a winning newsletter you want to let the world know about it. Continuing your marketing campaign of article writing, blogging and posting to your social media sites will increase your web presence and get you subscribers. These tools are the most important tools you have to increase your subscription list, and they are free! There is no better way to get subscribers than establishing yourself as “the expert” and the best way to do this is to write, write, write. Of course, this is a continuous, ongoing process. Building your web presence takes time and effort but is well worth it. The next thing to do is to list your newsletter with directories, and unless you change something, there is really no maintenance. You list once and forget about it. Ezine directories don’t usually bring in a lot of subscribers, but every little bit will help. Just like article banks there are many free directories. Some may require reciprocal links to their site or blog
Here is a list of some popular ezine directories:
Ezinelisting.com
New-list.com
Bestezines.com
Zinos.com
ezine-dir.com
If you google “newsletter directories” or “ezine directories”, you will find many directories listed. Try to list with as many as you can. If reciprocal links are requested just create a links & resources page on your site and list the links. You will not be penalized by google for this kind of back linking, however, if it gets excessive and you are linking to too many sites that are unrelated to your site, you may have a problem so just be careful.
I hope you have found this series on publishing a newsletter helpful. All previous posts can be found on my blog at www.OnTargetAssistance.com.
